I’ve come to realize that pets are an amazing part of the family and are very therapeutic. This is my dog Axel! His energy, loyalty, and unconditional love is what makes him such an important part of our family. Having a challenging day? Have no fear, Axel is always here to cheer us up!
Studies have shown the many benefits of having a pet. Animals are naturally always enjoying the moment and they show great intentions of mindfulness through their attention, compassion, and awareness. Animals help us to stop and appreciate the little things…Their keen sense of smell really parallels the saying, “Stop and smell the roses.” We need to do more of this… Axel has helped me to stop and appreciate the moment. By living in the moment it allows us to have a greater appreciation of the people and world around us.
I am so grateful that Axel is a part of my life. He is a constant reminder of what the present truly means and letting go…If we live in the present we can fully appreciate and be grateful for our lives.
